Seo Seung Jae did the star turn for Korea today, ensuring the home team’s presence in the semi-finals of
two categories at the VICTOR Korea Open 2018 with victories over higher-ranked opponents.
Seo and Mixed Doubles partner Chae Yujung (featured image) shocked seventh seeds Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino (Japan) in the day’s opening match before he returned for his Men’s Doubles with Choi Solgyu. The Koreans dispatched another Japanese pair, fourth seeds Takuto Inoue/Yuki Kaneko, 21-10 21-15, to make up for the home team’s disappointment of Lee Yong Dae/Kim Gi Jung’s quarter-final loss.
