In a quirk of the draw, Tai will face her conqueror from Day 1, He Bing Jiao of China.
Despite a surprise defeat to Prannoy H. S. on Day 3, Viktor Axelsen topped Group A and will clash with Japanese youngster Kodai Naraoka for a chance to capture another title.
The other side of the men's singles draw promises a juicy clash with Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie squaring off in an all-Indonesian showdown.
