Canada Open: New Partnership Continues to Blossom
Three tournaments, three finals. Jesper Toft and Amalie Magelund’s dream start as a pair continued as they made their third straight final since coming together last month.

After winning the FZ FORZA Nantes International Challenge 2024, they made the final of the YONEX US Open last week, finishing runners-up, and now they are in the hunt for yet another title as they dismantled Chinese Taipei’s Chen Cheng Kuan/Hsu Yin-Hui 21-19 21-14.
“I’m out of words right now,” said Toft, whose earlier partnership with Clara Greversen took them to No.34. “A final again, we were also in the final of the US Open. Right now it’s difficult to find words to describe it. When we got the first game we said to each other, let’s just breathe, try to get a feeling of being relaxed. If you’re nervous it’s hard to play the right shots.
“We’ve worked for this for a long time back home and now we’re our here and getting the wins… so many positive things to say about Amalie.”
