For Mia Blichfeldt, the road back to the top of a podium was never just about healing a knee. It was about learning to trust her body again, rediscovering her motivation and finding joy in the sport after months on the sidelines.
On Sunday, the Danish shuttler found all that – and more – as she swept past top seed Ratchanok Intanon 21-17 21-13 to claim the CLASH OF CLANS Arctic Open 2026 women’s singles title.
It was a breakthrough eight defeats in the making, Blichfeldt finally overcoming a player she had admired since childhood. Significantly, it ended her title drought, a year after her triumph at the HYLO Open last October.
