Denmark Says Thank You to Axelsen
Danish badminton paid tribute to its greatest modern player Viktor Axelsen in his home city of Odense on Sunday.

At the SJF Bank Arena, Axelsen was presented with flowers before receiving heartfelt tributes from the Mayor of Odense Peter Rahbaek Juel and Badminton Denmark Chief Executive Kristian Pihl. Their message was simple.
“We have come together to say thank you," said Pihl. “Thank you, Viktor for the journey, the memories and everything you have given Danish badminton.”
For nearly two decades, Axelsen carried Danish hopes on the biggest stages in world sports. He became a global ambassador for badminton, inspired a new generation of players and built a legacy few can match.
